Activist Investors Flex Their Muscles in Asia

Activist investors are increasingly anticipating new targets in Asia, as a flourishing recognition of corporate governance in a segment creates many vast companies exposed to investors who perturb for change.

A new news from J.P. Morgan finds that shareholder activists launched 106 campaigns in Asia final year, with companies in Japan, Hong Kong and Singapore experiencing a many activity. By comparison, there were only 10 such campaigns that took place 6 years ago.
