American Warship Sails Near Disputed Islands, Challenging China

A U.S. Navy warship patrolled nearby during slightest dual Chinese-held outposts in a doubtful Spratly island sequence in a South China Sea on Sunday, severe Beijing’s nautical claims amid flourishing tensions between a dual countries.

The guided-missile destroyer USS Decatur navigated past Gaven and Johnson reefs over a march of a 10-hour unit in a South China Sea, sailing within 12 nautical miles of both facilities in what amounts to a leisure of navigation operation, or FONOP.
