Australian commission travels to Rome amid sex abuse scandal

The Vatican says that leaders of a Australian Catholic Bishops Conference have trafficked to Rome to plead “the replacement of trust” amid a sex abuse liaison involving Australian principal George Pell, a tip confidant to a pope.

The Vatican announced a delegation’s revisit this week in a matter Saturday, observant pivotal Australian church leaders met with tip officials including a Vatican secretary of state and a secretary of a Congregation for a Doctrine of Faith, that is a Vatican bureau that processes all cases of priests indicted of intimately abusing minors.

The unusual meetings in Rome come months after a Vatican expelled Pell to lapse to Australia to face charges in a decades-old case. Pell, who took a leave of deficiency as a Vatican’s financial czar, denies a charges.
