China is waging a ‘cold war’ opposite a US, says CIA Asia expert

LONDON — China is waging a “cold war” opposite a United States in an bid to take a place as a heading tellurian power, a tip CIA consultant on Asia pronounced Friday.

Beijing does not wish to go to fight with a U.S. though is attempting to criticise Washington’s tellurian position by regulating all avenues accessible to it, pronounced Michael Collins, emissary partner executive of a CIA’s East Asia goal center.

“I would disagree … that what they’re waging opposite us is essentially a cold fight — a cold fight not like we saw during THE Cold War [between a U.S. and a Soviet Union] though a cold fight by definition,” he told a Aspen Security Forum in Colorado.

“The Chinese essentially find to reinstate a United States as a heading energy in a world,” Collins added.
