A former Governor of Abia State and commander of a All Progressives Congress, Dr Orji Uzor Kalu, has been hospitalised in Germany.
Kalu’s media aide, Kunle Oyewunmi, pronounced in a matter on Friday that a ex-governor flew to Germany final Monday for “a vital surgery” to residence “an undisclosed and life-threatening ailment.”
He was pronounced to have flown aboard a Lufthansa aircraft, accompanied by his wife, Ifunanya.
Oyewunmi pronounced on attainment in Germany, Kalu was on Tuesday rushed in an ambulance to Helios Klinik, Wiesbaden, Germany, where he was immediately wheeled into a surgical theatre.
He quoted Ifunanya as observant that a medicine was successful, adding that a ex-governor had regained consciousness.
According to a media aide, Ifunanya, in a quavering voice, over a write on Friday, “lamented her husband’s health status”.
“Although a medicine was successful, my father will still have to be monitored closely by a medical group for during slightest 4 months in sequence to forestall complications.
“His condition is improving gradually.
“He will be fine, if he is means to keep to his doctor’s advice.
“We conclude a prayers and kind difference from friends, associates, well-wishers and Nigerians in general,” Oyewunmi quoted Ifunanya to have said.
