The Cobb family walked opposite a nation to lift recognition about childhood cancer, though their tour wasn’t finished until they done one some-more stop.
The Cobbs, also famous as Team JuCan, are on a goal to respect their late daughter and assistance other families battling cancer. In 2013, Jennifer and Jonathan Cobb’s 8-year-old daughter, Julia, upheld divided after being diagnosed dual years progressing with Ewing’s sarcoma, a singular bone cancer.
Julia’s final days were spent on a outing to Disney World supposing by a Make-A-Wish Foundation.
On Aug. 6, 2014, Team JuCan began a cross-country tour to respect Julia. The family spent scarcely a year walking 20 to 25 miles per day until they walked from Disneyland in Anaheim, California to Disney World in Orlando, Florida.
Team JuCan reached their end on Jun 16, 2015.
But when they listened about Skyla Rippy, they knew their tour wasn’t over.
Skyla is a 16-year-old in Spindale, North Carolina who is battling an incorrigible blood commotion called Diamond-Blackfan anemia. Skyla will be certified to UNC Chapel Hill on Monday for a bone pith transplant that is a usually wish for a disorder to go into remission.
Skyla is an determined paramedic with a passion for assisting others. She has been mentored by many officials from internal glow departments, medic teams and military stations.
When a Cobb family listened about Skyla, they knew they wanted to inspire her as she starts a bone pith transplant.
