Larry David’s digression on this weekend’s Saturday Night Live was pretty, pretty, flattering — well, not great, according to some people.
The Curb Your Enthusiasm star finished his opening difference with a run of jokes that left a bad ambience in many viewers’ mouths: “I’ve always been spooky with women, and I’ve mostly wondered: If I’d grown adult in Poland when Hitler came to energy and was sent to a thoroughness camp, would we still be checking out women in a camp?” he started before devising what kind of review he’d have with another man as they figured out how to flirt.
“The problem is, there are no good opening lines in a thoroughness camp,” he continued, afterwards due some: “‘How’s it going? They treatin’ we okay? You know, if we ever get out of here, I’d adore to take we out for some latkes. You like latkes?’”
Although many Twitter users were not fans of David’s bit, some shielded it: “Larry David might be a many critical Jewish comedian ever,” user Barret tweeted. “He’s authorised to make thoroughness stay jokes.”

Larry David’s thoroughness stay bit is only blehhhhhh. Feels sleepy for all the attempts during whatever it’s attempting.

I’m not a Jew, though I’m low-key annoyed by Larry David’s pyre jokes on #SNL. Not cool.
