Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador says his takeaway from a self-assurance of Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman is that “money doesn’t buy loyal happiness.”
“I would like that those who select those paths, recur and consider that autocracy is a changed gift,” López Obrador pronounced Wednesday, according to Proceso.
“Danger should not be caused to another and there shouldn’t be mistreat finished to oneself and to their families since it is, in one form or another, suffering.”
A Brooklyn jury on Tuesday found a drug duke guilty of using a massive, aroused narco-trafficking operation, and he now faces life behind bars.
During Guzman’s trial, witnesses and lawyers finished allegations of widespread supervision temptation and crime in Mexico — with prosecutors claiming in justice documents that Chapo’s conglomeration paid off a former debate associate of López Obrador during his initial unsuccessful run for a presidency in 2006.
López Obrador final month declared a finish of his country’s “war” on drugs, observant his administration would no longer prioritize a charge of kingpins like Guzman.
He has launched a debate to remonstrate people not to mangle a law, with a slogan, “We’re all going to behave.”
“Past errors can be punished, though it is better, what has some-more piece … is to equivocate destiny crimes,” he pronounced Wednesday.
