Russia Improves Position in International Corruption Rating

Russia was ranked 119th — together with Azerbaijan, Guyana and Sierra Leone — in Transparency International’s 2015 Corruption Perceptions Index, adult 17 points from a 2014 position. The rating was published on Transparency International’s website.

In a 2014 index, Russia was ranked 136th, only behind Nigeria. Russia was 127th in 2013 and 133rd in 2012.

The Transparency International Corruption Perceptions Index has been expelled any year given 1995. It evaluates a turn of crime in 168 countries, assigning points from 0 to 100 to any country.

The nation with a lowest volume of crime gets 100 points, and a nation with a top turn gets 0 points.

This year’s index was surfaced by Denmark, Finland, Sweden, New Zealand and Netherlands, while Somalia and North Korea were during a bottom.
