Russia Takes Victory Day Parade to Crimea

More than 1,300 servicemen and 30 troops vehicles took partial in the Victory Day march in the Crimean pier of Sevastopol, Russian state news group Interfax reported.

The march enclosed S-300 anti-aircraft barb systems and other hardware, namely Russia’s newest armored vehicles, Interfax reported Monday.

World War II veterans also marched by Sevastopol’s executive streets. A similar march took place in the Crimean city of Kerch.

According to Sevastopol’s internal news website, thousands of people from Crimea and Ukraine collected to watch nautical maneuvers in Sevastopol Bay, the city’s harbor. They were reportedly means to take vessel rides to observe the ships and a Russian submarine, docked in the area, adult close.

Russian ships lined adult in Sevastopol Bay as partial of the march festivities. According to Interfax, tens of thousands of onlookers collected for the event, with Vice Admiral Alexander Vitko, commander of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, directing the ceremony. Vitko pronounced that the Black Sea Fleet done a worthwhile grant to victory over the Nazis, state news group TASS reported.

Russia annexed the Crimean Peninsula from Ukraine in 2014 following a controversial referendum. Neither Western countries nor Ukraine strictly commend the peninsula as partial of Russia. In late April, Kiev released an arrest aver for Alexander Vitko.

He is underneath guess of committing critical crimes opposite Ukraine and of stealing from investigative authorities.
