See Slipknot’s Corey Taylor Cover ‘Hunger Strike’ for Chris Cornell Tribute

Slipknot‘s Corey Taylor was among a artists to compensate reverence to Chris Cornell during Rock on a Range, a Ohio festival where Soundgarden was scheduled to title Friday before the singer’s death. Festival organizers lpromised a “special tribute” to respect Cornell who reinstate a band’s set.

Following a video tribute to Cornell that screened during what would have been Soundgarden’s set, Taylor delivered a two-part reverence to Cornell, that enclosed a delivery of “Hunger Strike,” a Temple of a Dog classical that a Slipknot thespian previously achieved with Halestorm in Jul 2015.

Prior to “Hunger Strike,” Taylor dedicated a cover of Pink Floyd’s “Wish You Were Here” to a late singer. 

“We’re gonna do a best to send some adore upstairs [to Cornell],” Taylor told a crowd. Cornell died by suicide early Thursday morning following Soundgarden’s unison in Detroit.

At a Rock on a Range kickoff celebration on Thursday night, Taylor’s Stone Sour also played Soundgarden’s “Outshined.”

Other Cornell tributes during Rock on a Range enclosed a reunited Live personification Audioslave’s “I Am a Highway” during their set, while Bush achieved a dash of Soundgarden’s “Black Hole Sun.”
