Turkey’s Erdogan Says Putin Is ‘Occupier’ in Syria

Turkish President Recep Erdogan has described Russian President Vladimir Putin as an “occupier” in Syria, the Bloomberg news group reported Monday.

“What are we [Putin] doing in Syria? You’re radically an occupier,” Erdogan pronounced in comments published by the Turkish Hurriyet newspaper, Bloomberg reported.

Erdogan’s comments came after the recent cessation of a UN-hosted assent discussion on Syria in Geneva. The conference was shelved due to the new descent of Syrian supervision army opposite rebels nearby Aleppo.

Last week Erdogan due a meeting with Putin to discuss the latest developments in the attribute between the two countries, though Putin incited down the offer.

The Islamic State is a terrorist classification criminialized in Russia.
