Uber can’t make it a day but creation headlines.
The large news today? Amit Singhal, a well-funded travel company’s comparison clamp boss of engineering, is out. Uber CEO Travis Kalanick asked Singhal to renounce Monday morning, according to Recode.
Singhal is stepping down from his post after Uber execs were alerted about passionate nuisance allegations that a operative faced in his time during Google. Singhal worked as a clamp boss of hunt during Google for 15 years before resigning in Feb 2016. Recode reports that a womanlike worker filed a passionate nuisance censure opposite Singhal that an inner review found “credible.” He allegedly denied a claims.
Following his abdication from Google, Singhal was hired by Uber to offer as vice boss of engineering. Though Singhal reportedly never disclosed a passionate nuisance allegations to Uber, execs found out by Kara Swisher’s stating for Recode.
This news comes after former worker Susan J. Fowler detailed a passionate harassment she says she gifted during Uber. However, Swisher notes, “Singhal’s brawl with Google has zero to do with that conditions or a new lawsuit that Google’s primogenitor company, Alphabet, has waged opposite Uber’s Otto division.”
Uber and Google did not immediately respond to a Fortune ask for comment.
