Honda to Invest in GM’s Self-Driving Car Unit GM Cruise

Honda Motor Co. is investing $2.75 billion in General Motors Co.’s self-driving automobile unit, a pierce that comes as automobile makers and record giants hasten to plant stakes in a travel landscape that is quickly being reshaped by technology.

Honda will make a $750 million investment in GM Cruise LLC immediately, and will deposit an additional $2 billion over a subsequent 12 years, a companies pronounced Wednesday. The investment will give Honda a 5.7% interest in Cruise.
