A methane trickle caused a new blast Sunday in a spark cave in northern Russia, attack a territory where 26 workers had been trapped after a prior blast, and murdering another 6 people, news reports said.
The 26 miners who had been trapped given a prior blast on Feb. 25 during a Severnaya spark cave in a distant northern segment of Komi are now reputed dead, Emergency Situations Minister Viktor Puchkov pronounced Sunday, a Gazeta.ru news portal reported.
“We are forced to acknowledge that all a conditions that have shaped during a influenced territory of a cave do not concede anybody to survive,” Puchkov was quoted as saying. “Data indicates that a subterraneous space where a 26 miners were located has high temperatures and no oxygen.”
