Organ donations vetoed by hundreds of bereaved families

Bereaved families have blocked a concession of viscera from 547 UK purebred donors given 2010 – about one in 7 cases, total show.

NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT) says it will no longer find a agree of families formally, to make such “overrides” some-more exceptional.

Instead, they will be given a prospectus explaining agree – or permission in Scotland – rests with a deceased.
